A near 40 year Santa Barbara resident, the Kaptain spent his early years working in his parents Cape Cod harbor restaurant before venturing out west. He’s held a diverse list of careers including commercial fishing, underwater welding, general contracting, and hydroponics. Now he’s cooking up some of the best BBQ and comfort food that the area has to offer. He started catering in 2010, and had the opportunity to open a restaurant in 2013 where he indulges the Isla Vista community with his tasty fare. When he is not behind the BBQ, he spends his time with friends and family, working on new recipes, and enjoying the Santa Barbara life.
The Kaptain's daughter, and born and raised in Santa Barbara, Lindsay has always had a knack for entertaining guests. At 20 years old, she started a small catering company specializing in appetizers and desserts, while majoring in Creative Writing and Business Management at Antioch University. She put her business on hold to gain more industry experience and added culinary school to her training. She teamed up with her dad in 2012 when he launched their festival devision, following their dreams of feeding the masses together. With her diverse skills in organization and management, Lindsay runs the front of the house with ease.
One upon a time there was a little blond girl who loved to be in nature. Her spirit could not be contained by the walls of city life. She broke free of the limiting constrains and grew up with wild horses. Known as The Blond by festie folk, she offers delightful conversation to men, women and children alike.
